I am trying to piece together the locations (headquarters) of the Royal Artillery regiments stationed in Hong Kong between 1939 and 1941. My understanding is that:
8th Coast Regiment was stationed at Stanley Fort/Barracks
HK Singapore Royal Artillery Regiment was stationed at Gun Club Barracks
5th AA Regiment was stationed at Lyemun Barracks
12th Coast Regiment - not known.
Can anyone confirm/help with this one ??
Thanks

You should find the answers in ' The Guns and Gunners of Hong Kong ' by Rollo - see Amazon.
Guns and Gunners of Hong Kong
I agree that The Guns and Gunners of Hong Kong by Dennis Rollo is a terrific resource for answering your questions, but if you are lucky enough to find it on Amazon it will likely be high priced as it is out of print and a rather rare book.
If you are in Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Public Library has a copy at the main branch in Causeway Bay. HK University Special Collections also has a copy. This is the only way I've ever been able to have a look at the book!

Apologies for gatecrashing
Apologies for gatecrashing the post but as a former gunner it sparked my interest. There are a couple of chaps on the Royal Artillery Association Facebook page who served in HK in the 50s. They might be able to shed some light on the subject.
