Born in Dumbarton Dumbartonshire  11 March 1913

Travelled to China with her siblings Mary, Charles and Richard to join their father Richard Urwin Knox (1884 - 1949) 2 December 1932. Their mother died in 1929 in Dumbarton.

Married Frank Hillon (1909 - 1994) 15 April 1939 at Church of Christ the King Shanghai. He was a POW. Sergeant HKVDC

Her brother David Knox (1911 - 1942) died 2 October 1942 Lisbon Maru

Rerurned to UK via Sydney 10 May 1946
