Menu Cover at Joint Declaration Banquet 1984

My father was a journalist covering the Sino-British talks, subsequent signing of the Joint Declaration, and finally presided over the coverage of the Handover. He sat at Table 36 in the Great Hall of the People during the banquet. This menu comes from his box of treasures from his days as a young and intrepid journalist. These banquet menus are often placed in the centre of the table in Chinese banquets.
