Hi, everyone!

I am currently painstakingly trying to recreate old Hong Kong in minecraft, because I want others to be able to experience what it was like. Does anyone have any old ariel photographs of old Robinson road? I'm having a really hard time designing the prominent mansions that once lined the streets.

The view will change over time, so have you chosen a year to model?

Hi David, sorry, I'm still at the boring part, land reclaimation. It's really hard so I was thinking of using some applications that can map out terrain for you. The year I chose is 1947, while it won't be 100% accurate, it will look similar, especially in the downtown district (because there are many photographs of the area).When I finish, I'll be sure to share with everyone here!

Another tip to get photos of the old mansions along Robinson Road is to use the map (https://gwulo.com/map-of-places#17/22.28112/114.14959/Map_by_ESRI-Marker...) to see Places along the route of Robinson Road. Click on a marker to see the link to the Place page, follow that link then click the Photos tab to see photos which show that Place.

eg for Excelsior Terrace - IL 704 Sec:D-G [1920-1988] you'd go to https://gwulo.com/node/5723 and then https://gwulo.com/node/5723/photos
