The 1st generation church annexe was built on the old site of Women's Hostel, and opened on 28th May 1950. Originally it was intended that the new St. Stephen's Church would be built on top of it as funds became available. But due to new building regulations, it was demolished in 1963 together with the 2nd generation St. Stephen's Church to may way for the 3rd generation Church (completed in 1965).
Used as a kindergarten since 1950 and a primary school since 1951 (before a primary school campus was opened in 1956 on the old site of Church Mission House).
