Hi,
My name is Richard Muirhead, I have contributed to Gwulo before but I am now asking anyone if they know where, online or elsewhere I can view a colour print or painting of either the First or Second Opium Wars as I thought a decent colour picture would be suitable for the front cover of my soon to be finished book China and the West: Communication, Conflict and Progress which I hope to publish via lulu.com
If anyone knows of such a painting especially one featured on Gwulo that is copyright free, I mean one that I don`t have to pay a big fee for, please can they let me know here? Thanks Rich.

Did you look at the Chater Collection book? There is a complete copy on the HKU website here and it has a number of paintings of HK in the 1840s
