Named after: Charles Edward Anton, Director of Jardine, Matheson & Co.
Timeline:
- 1915: Jardine, Matheson & Co. bought the land from the Sisters of St Paul, and built terraced houses on it.
- 1917: Point 46 in the PWD AR for 1927 lists the completion of 47 Chinese houses on "M.L. 23, Praya East, Queen’s Road East, Landale and Anton Streets." This street and Landale Street were opened to give access to the housing.
- 1923: The first mention of this street in the Jurors Lists:
