Prince's Building inland lot 2181 it was originally developed by Catchick Paul Chater & Hormusjee Mody and was managed by Hongkong Land. Prince's building was named after Edward, The Prince of Wales who ascended the british throne in 1901 upon the death of Queen Victoria, and reigned under the name of King Edward VII. Designed by Architects Leigh & Orange it shared the same Italian Renaissance style as Queen's Building, constructed in four phases. Hongkong Land finally purchased the building in 1927 for HK$3 million and was eventually demolished in 1962 to make way for todays 26 storey office and retail tower.
