Prince's Building inland lot 2181 it was originally developed by Catchick Paul Chater & Hormusjee Mody and was managed by Hongkong Land. Prince's building was named after Edward, The Prince of Wales who ascended the british throne in 1901 upon the death of Queen Victoria, and reigned under the name of King Edward VII. Designed by Architects Leigh & Orange it shared the same Italian Renaissance style as Queen's Building, constructed in four phases.

A photograph of part of Hong Kong taken in 1923 - note the recently built Cenotaph commemorating the dead of the Great War. This was in fact constructed in 1923, and is almost an exact replica of the Cenotaph in Whitehall, London which was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens (1869-1944).
