Hi There,

Those big tents looked like made of canvas.  Must be very heavy.  When I was in XVHKG we were already using smaller but more affordable nylon tents, but they were not rain proof.  Once while in Lantau our tents usually remaining standing under Typhoon signal #3 before we were forced to retreat.
