Hello,

Can anyone please tell me, when the road to Repulse Bay and the road to Stanley had been built. I read once that there was a small road in the early stage of the colony, but I am not sure if thiat is correct. Moreover I came along of some photographs, marked with 1938 and with the inscription ". ( A New Road is built to Stanley.....)  "?? I haven't downloaded the pictures just yet, but I will send them to you all for further clarification.

The photos of the road to Stanley that have been seen refer to the construction of the Wong Ma Kok Road to Stanley Fort in the 1930s. Stanley Fort was constructed around 1937.
