I was raised in the Peak and moved to Canada in 1975. I was a part time waiter in the Peak Cafe in the weekend while I was still attending school in Robinson Rd.

I watched the first Peak tower was built and the contractors came to the Cafe for afternoon break.

There was a lot of fun memories mostly good and learned a lot how to interact with people.

I hope I might contact some of the school mates who worked with me in the Peak cafe. After they have read this comment.

I remembered the two big festival days  the Peak will be full of people.

Those pictures brought back a lot of wonderful memories.

Take care

John, there are some tips on finding old friends / colleagues here.

Good luck, David

The HK Heritage Blog has an article about the architect and design of this tower: https://honghongheritage.wordpress.com/2015/01/23/architect-chung-wah-na...

They note it opened in August 1972.

Hi All

Does anyone out there know what has happened to Jackie Godkin who used to live in the Peak Tower Flats in the 1970s

Regards

MJT

Hi MJT, The family lived at Victoria peak apartments from the early 50' and in fact my mother passed away in the flat in the 90's not long before the old peak towers was pulled down. I'm now living in Oxford, returning on occasion as one does. J

Hi Jackie

I have been looking for you on and off for many years. Last time i heard of you, you were studying in Canada. I remember going up the hill to the park where you used to fly your control line planes.
