Wartime tunnel above Hing Man Estate [????- ]

Current condition:
Ruin

One can see some rubbles scattering around a low wall of concrete bricks not far from the entrance. Both the rubbles and soil inside and outside of the tunnel were unstable, one should take great care accessing this place.

Not sure if it's an ARP tunnel, just taking a wild guess. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

The Air Raid Precaution tunnels were built pre-war for civilians to shelter in. They are lined with concrete, and are close to built-up areas so that civilians could quickly take shelter if they heard the air raid siren.

The Japanese tunnels were dug quickly during the Japanese occupation. Their interior is just the rock the tunnel was cut through - no concrete lining. They are usually found up in the hills, away from built-up areas.

So this tunnel is one of the Japanese wartime tunnels.

Yet, it has concrete bricks scattered both inside and out, e.g. the white shade behind the person in blue is one of them, it's quite large, similar in size to the one above Shau Kei Wan East Upper Service Reservoir, that's why I can't say for sure which nature it got.

Nice find, how deep did it go? It seems like alot had bricked up entrances as ambush positions, many examples of this aroung blacks link/Middle Gap area

We didn't venture inside, it looked very unstable.
