The photo shows buildings on Nathan Road (left) and Haiphong Road (right), possibly taken from the HK Telephone Building. It gives a similar view like Tsim Sha Tsui 1954, but extends more to the north-west.
The buildings in the foreground are the Chinese Houses on 55-45 Haiphong Road [c.1900-c.1959]. A bit along Nathan Road is a L-shaped building that stands on the lot where the former Station Hotel was located. It has a Coca Cola sign and awnings, identified as Sang Dairy Company Shop [c.1940-c.1960], possibly including a milk-bar.
Three houses on Hankow Road are visible from the backside, with clothes on lines for drying.
