This devastating typhoon had cause much damage to local property - that included those floating on sea, buildings and aviation facilities.

As a result of losing ALL the flying assets due to destruction of this hangar, the school re-focused their training area and as a result, the name 'Far East Flying Training School' had changed to Far East Flying and Technical School in the same year, although its abbreviation remained the same.
