Some photos my father took after HK was liberated! 
Another photo of Lindy standing somewhere near Cameron Road after HK was liberated.
Lindy, my mother, Olga Mikaleff (my godmother) in an RN jeep. No idea who the guys were ... anyone?????
From L-R : Misha (Michael) Mihaleff (Lindy's godfather), his wife Olga, my mother (Lila Pio-Ulski), Lindy, ??, and the guy in the jeep (in his RN uniform) but who was he?
Another photo taken on the same day of my mother, Lindy, the Mihaleffs, and the RN fellows. The fellow on the left was in the jeep photo above.

Thanks Nona, these are good to see, as we don't have many from so soon after the liberation of Hong Kong. Good to see the smiling faces too, after all that they'd been through.

In the picture on Cameron Road, is that giant concrete structure visible in the background the Japanese War Memorial?

No, Uncle Yabai -- the Japanese war memorial was on HK island and built on Mt Cameron

He he you're right, for some reason I thought the road below Cameron Mansions (the one whose plinth was the Japanese War Memorial) was called Cameron Road. It's actually the extension of Magazine Gap Road past Magazine Gap. There is a Mount Cameron Road further down where Coombe Road starts, but that's neither here nor there!
