Age 48 in 1945.  Worked for Marsman HK China Ltd.  Repatriated aboard SS Gripsholm 1942. (Source: Leck, Captives of Empire, 622).

Jan Marsman said Dankworth was a “director” in his company, and spelled his name “Dankwerth” (Source: Marsman, I Escaped from Hong Kong, 16).
