The problem of uploading photos

Dear Sir,

I don't know why I can't upload the photo when I try to reply to the comment.

Can you help me to see if there is any problem?

Best regards

Go to your comment, click EDIT, maneuver the cursor to where you want the photo to be inserted, click on the middle icon on the right edge of the screen, something would pop out, scroll down to the photo that you want and click INSERT.

This method would not allow you to insert more than 1 photo at a time. It would just replace the first photo with the 2nd one and so on. To circumvent this, type up a few lines first, such as:

Photo 1

Photo 2

Photo 3

Then point the cursor behind the nos. 1, 2 & 3 to insert the 3 photos respectively.

If you don't like the way the titles and captions are presented, switch to Plain Text Editor to edit the HTML as I've done with this photo.

Step 1 - "Create" your named image first using the Image section of the Directory, from wherever you have saved it. Select "Add" and "Upload". You may then want to save it in a dated directory.

Step 2 - select "Edit" in your already posted reply and place the cursor where you want the image to go.

Step 3 - go to the panel on the right hand side and select the dot. If you have just uploaded an image it will be listed first. Select "Image" in the menu and press "Insert". It should appear in your post.
There may be a clearer explanation in the FAQs section or in "How do I ...?"

Here's how to upload the photo: https://gwulo.com/node/2076

And then how to insert it into your comment: https://gwulo.com/node/1929

Hi David,

With your insert instructions, if I want to insert photos 1, 2, and 3 in that order at the same point in the text, I cannot do it by inserting photo 1, then placing the cursor behind or under it, and clicking to add photo 2. If I upload them in the order 1, 2, & 3 by clicking at the same point in the text 3 times, I would end up with photos displayed in the order 3, 2, & 1. And if I forget to click the insert point after inserting each photo, I would end up with only photo 3. If the photo is at the end of the comment, it's close to impossible to add more text after the photo.

Hi tkjho, I had the same problem before.  After you bring in the "Search" box from the right edge, click the cursor at your chosen spot in the comments box.  Next, choose and insert the photo you want to insert.  If the photo was not uploaded recently, use Search and type in the photo's name.

Next, the trick is get out of the trap.  Close the Search box.  The photo you have just inserted has its title at the bottom boxed by yellow lines.  Move the cursor to the title line and click,  and a red symbol representing "Return" will appear.  Click on the symbol and you are out of the trap, bring in the Search box again, and you are ready to write  comments or insert the next photo.   There are actually two red symbols, one keeps you within the title box, and the other one takes you out of the title box.  Regards,   Peter

Hi Peter,

Thanks for your comment.

Now I do it as described in my 1st comment, type in a few placeholders for the photos and insert them behind the placeholders.

Thanks tkjho.  I have not tried your method yet!  Regards,  Peter

The two methods you've described - either create blank lines first and then insert the photos, or use the red line to create an empty line - are the two methods I use.
