We regret to have to announce the death of Mr. Bernhard Ulland, a native of Norway, which occurred very suddenly at the French Hospital on Monday morning.

Deceased had been in indifferent health for some time and suddenly grew worse which necessitated his immediate removal to hospital on Sunday. Despite all that medical aid could do the deceased did not respond to the treatment.

Deceased had been serving on various Norwegian ships on the China coast for a period of about 15 years and was a well known figure among Norwegian seafaring men.
