8mm film from the 50s - suggestions for a reputable hk lab anyone?

a friend of mine in hong kong has several canisters of 8mm film shot by her father in the 1950/60s. it appears quite brittle and she is loathe to do it irreperable damage by handling it. can anyone suggest a reliable local firm that could put this priceless footage on to a dvd (or other) format? also any idea of the likely cost?
any suggestions most welcome - thank you

That would be great to see. I hope it makes it out to the internet at some point.
It sounds like it needs to be treated with a lot of care. Have you tried contacting the Hong Kong Film Archive, to see whether they can suggest how to move it to digital format without damaging it?

I saw a very nicely restored home movie from the 1940s. They said they'd used the company MyMovieTransfer.com. Not a Hong Kong lab, but if all else fails...
