Aberdeen Harbour 1930s

I am looking at a photo of Aberdeen Harbour, taken in the 1930s, in the book 'Earth Then and Now: Amazing Images of Our Changing World'. On a hillside is a magnificent building, very long, with prominent end structures. The middle seems to be fronted by a long arcade or veranda.  I'm curious what it was - perhaps a hotel?

After searching images & maps on the internet, this forum seems like my best bet for more info. I apologize if I am asking too much or not posting properly. It just seems like such an imposing building must have been well known. I would really appreciate any answers.

Forum:

It sounds like either the Aberdeen Police Station or the Catholic Seminary, built in 1931. If it's colonial in style, it would be the former, and the latter if Chinese style.

I am attempting to post the photo mentioned:

It's the Seminary.

Thank you very much for the info. I would never have guessed it to be of Catholic origin - this from a Canadian raised by the nuns!
