The Hermitage center right in the above photo, at the intersection of Kennedy and MacDonnell Roads - but closer to MacDonnell Road
15 Kennedy Road:
- Originally owned by a German national.
- Home of Ho Fook and his extended family, starting in about 1919.
- Confiscated by the Government in WWII and bought by Ho Fook in 1919
- Rented out in the 1930s and became a Private Hotel
- Taken over by the Japanese during the occupation and used as a brothel.
- Sold to the Government and redeveloped into a block of flats "The Hermitage', 75 MacDonnell Road
- Now used by the Chinese Foreign Ministry, 42 Kennedy Road
