1950's Repulse Bay Hotel

Hi,

I am looking for a photograph of the Repulse Bay Hotel around the 1940s/1950s. My dad lived there during that time and I live here now, and so I think it would be a touching gift. I have been looking for one for some years now, but have been unable to find one so far.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Kind regards,

Melissa

Forum:

The complex has a package of old postcards for sale.  Go for afternoon tea.  Sadly, they just remodeled the Verandah and put in a marble floor to replace the wood one, and, more to the point, reduced the size of the toilet cubicles ! So it has lost a bit of its "romance".  (of course it was demolished and rebuilt in the 1980s, so the new one was not "antique").

I have just scanned a photo of the Repulse Bay Hotel from the late 1950's - it is of the front of the hotel - we used to go to Sunday tiffin there each week.  I will put them up tomorrow as I am still scanning!

Regards,

Alison

Hi Melissa,

In addition to the photos that Annelise and Alison mention, there's this picture from the 1920s. I haven't included it in our catalogue of photos for sale because it's in colour. If it's suitable for you, please drop me a line (

David's email address
), and I'll check pricing with the printer.

I did a quick search on eBay for "Repulse Bay Hotel" and 22 entries came up.
