Royal Engineer 1900s

I'm helping my mother with some family history research.  A distant relative was in the Royal Engineers serving in Hong Kong in the 1900s.  He came out to Hong Kong between 1902 and 1906 with his wife and child.  A subsequent child was born in Hong Kong in 1906.  I'm looking to build up a picture of their life here.  I'm planning to look at newspaper records at the HKPL for passenger lists to see if I can establish when they arrived and departed and the baptism records at the Public Records Office to see if they had their child baptised. Are there any other resources that I could use? i'm new to this! Would love to get an idea of the place that they would have resided in.

Cheers

Sarah

If you give us the names you know we can help direct you better.

You do know that you can look at newspapers online and don't need to actually visit the library, right? Shipping lists only listed civilian and commercial passengers, though, not military.
