The outline of this building on a map from the 1930s [Plate 3-5b, Mapping Hong Kong] has the same outline as the Berlin Mission building from the 1900s.

Dates for this building are 1929-1934 Source here. I'm pretty sure the old Berlin Mission building was used as it was demolished after only 5 years.
