Brit or Japanese
Are these trenches British or Japanese?
Re: Trenches along Maclehose Trail stage 4
Hi There,
Sorry, no idea. They are road side ditches\trenches. What could be seen is they looked artificial. Some are quite deep.

Most likely Japanese. They had a significant defensive position in that area.

Hi Rob,
Now that you mention it, I remember reading somewhere about a Japanese pillbox, also in the area near Wong Chuk Yeung Village. Uncertain where is the pillbox though.

Wong Chuk Yeung Pillbox
Hi tngan
The Japanese pillboxes were located near the fire lookout at Chuk Yeung Road, near the Maclehose Trail. There. used to be 13 pillboxes, but all of them do not exist now.
