I was told that the swimming pool and changing rooms were installed during the time in the 1950s, or probably later, when the ghurkas were based at Lyemun and Pak Sha Wan and that it ws due to be filled in on account of it being a breeding place for mosquitoes.   I see on David's recent photograph that the pool was, indeed, filled in.

As far as I can remember I was told that these were vents from a power house very close to the gun emplacement and that they were associated with the emmunition hoists.  If anyone can add to my rather vague memories about any of these Pak Sha Wan images please do so.
