This is the righthand of two photos placed side by side in the 1928-29 album of WR Fell, that carry the legend "Departure of Capt. Glencross". Glencross gave up his command of HMS Titania and the 4th Submarine Flotilla in February 1929. I expect the exact date is given somewhere. These two photos should join the enquiry placed by his grandson, Jon Glencross at https://gwulo.com/node/46493

This is the lefthand of two photos placed side by side in WR Fell's album of 1928-29, which carry the legend "Departure of Captain Glencross". John Buller Glencross ceded his command of HMS Titania and the 4th Submarine Flotilla in February 1929. These two photos should join the thread https://gwulo.com/node/46493 begun by Jon Glencross, who posted an enquiry about his grandfather.

I'm not sure how often a submarine's propellor needed changing. Perhaps L27's propellor had been damaged.

This is a very crumpled photo at the very beginning of WRF's 1928-1929 album. I was going to relate it to https://gwulo.com/atom/34562 and the 23 March 1929 Hong Fours one mile race, but I see that WRF has labelled the photo 1928. Was this an annual event? Yes - moddsey has confirmed this in his following posting of the relevant newspaper reports.

Stand by for a couple more photos of HMS Titania memorabilia in advance of David's talk - and a couple showing activities of the L Class submarine crews while in port.

There are certainly a lot of messages on Titania's notice board.
