This is the second of two photos taken of Charles and Eileen Medley in Hong Kong October 1, 1947. Charles is on the far left and Eileen is the lady in the dark dress in the middle of the photo. The photographer is identified on the back as "Photo by Wong Sek Yoeng, 1st Oct. 1947 HongKong". This would have been taken when they returned to Hong Kong after the war.

It is believed this photo may have been taken in the Hong Kong Marine Police Headquarters Tsim Sha Tsui. The date on the back is noted October 1, 1947. After being home in Canada from the time of their repatriation from the Stanley Interment Camp (1943), Charles and his wife Eileen returned to Hong Kong in 1947 on The Island Mail.  On a visit made by family to this site in 2012, a gentleman at this location (in what is now a luxury hotel) said the photo appears to be in one of their main rooms.
