This might be the Manila based circus/carnival trapped by the Japanese in Hong Kong in December 1941 mentioned in a number of earlier Gwulo postings.

The number of performers and animals involved in this travelling circus makes one wonder where and how they were accommodated and how were they shipped to and from Hong Kong. Presumably there were no animal quarantine regulations at the time.

An unusual location for a circus and zoo to be next to the airport with aircraft landing overhead 

I don't think any photographs have surfaced that show any temporary circus infrastructure on the bus terminus
