Date picture taken (to nearest decade for older photos):
I'm not sure of the exact year, but some of my father's photos are dated 1949, he left HK in early 1951, and this looks like Governor Grantham (judging from the Wikipedia image of him), who took office in 1947.
After the war, my father (Thomas Edgar) worked for the Cheung family's Garden Company, which, as his note on the back tells us, provided the tea for the ninth Exhibition. But does anyone know what this Exhibition was? <Read more ...>
