This is a portrait of Ron Brooks, in civilian clothes, done on 27 April 1942 by AJ Savitsky in the Stanley Internment Camp during the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong. AJ Savitsky did some 200 portraits of the internees.

This Portrait of Ron Brooks in Fire Brigade uniform was done in Stanley Internment Camp by Arseny Joseph SAVITSKY, 30 March 1942. AJ Savitsky did some 200 portraits of internees in the camp during the Japanese occupation of Hong Kong.

AJ Savitsky was an artist interned in the Stanley Prison Camp during World War II, when the Japanese occupied Hong Kong, He was a Russian who had migrated to Hong Kong in the early 1930s and became a member of the Hong Kong Police Reserve in 1936.
