Text on Flickr: I'm not one to get too excited over "picturesque" photos of junks in HK, but I did think this was a very nice shot, taken in October,1969

This is towards the end of the "round robin" tour conducted by Roland Brooks in the week 14 February 1948. Having gone, it would appear, anti clockwise from Kowloon Hospital :

- he watched an Atlas plane at Kai Tak load up and take off

- passed high above some Coastal villages

- saw a train crossing to Kowloon - Frame 47-40-01 (see Brooks photo gallery)

Hi all, my first post here. Can anyone identify where this photo was taken?

It was uploaded by H. Grobe to the Wikimedia Commons under a free licence with no information attached other than the date, 1965. I've been trying to add the location, but I'm stumped!

I have poked around numerous locations on Google Earth including Aberdeen, Wah Fu/Cyberport, Tuen Mun, island east, Tsing Yi, Sai Kung...but nothing stands out in particular. Made more difficult by the reclamation and the fact that these buildings have likely been redeveloped.
