Demolition work of the dockyard workshops and houses at the tidal basin as well as (rock) filling of the dry dock while the Quarters (including Nissen huts) and Stores are still standing.
Kwong Chee Theatre (1968). This photo was taken likely in late spring or early fall given the clothings people were wearing. Movie ads are no longer posted, but it is good to see the original street corner and its both front and side (hence this photo added) views. The cart load of wicker baskets are heading north on Temple Street.

During the height of the Cultural Revolution in1967 , when disturbances had spread to Hong Kong , KCR railway workers had to contend with through freight trains arriving from the Mainland at Tsim Sha Tsui with their wagons festooned with anti-British slogans. This also included some disturbing additions hanging down the wagon sides.
