Some 50 years ago. Thinking it is a Swissair Convair CV990 aircraft. Hong Kong International Airport at Kai Tak closed on 5 July 1998. The current airport at Chek Lap Kok opened 20 years ago today.

On Flickr attributed to Queensway, but I'm quite sure that this is Harcourt Road. The right hand building should be the red cross headquarters.  Wikipedia says: 1965 Inauguration of the Hong Kong Red Cross Headquarters at Harcourt Road.  I created a place for it.

Left are the Nissen Huts of the Hong Kong Flotilla.

Photo that belonged to my dad, [back row right hand side] Jim Perriman, from his time in Hong Kong with the RAF I believe this this is taken around late 50's early 60's [no date on the photo but that is when he was there] its certainly no later than 1963 as by that point he was at the Marilinga Atomic Test base in Australia.
