A location I cannot recognise. Long pier, very shallow shoreline, modern buildings plus off-shore islands

A sight rarely seen in Hong Kong these days. Neatly terraced farms.

Hung Hom peninsula after the dockyard closed. The dockyard's staff-quarters blocks, old and new, are in the centre along with the obligatory company team's lawn bowls green, and a swimming pool. Dyer Avenue and a CLP sub-station that still exists are on the right. In the foreground Tai Wan Shan swimming pool complex that also still exists. Most of this area is now covered by the Whampoa Gardens estates.
