JUMBO restaurant after the fire

Date picture taken (to nearest decade for older photos):
1972

Another image of the shell of the JUMBO taken from a hiking trail above Aberdeen probably 1972 or 3. The long timescale betwen the fire and the restaurant's much later rebuilding was probably due to a lengthy government commision of enquiry into the fire's cause.

I found this photo from 1971, but don't remember there being a Sands Hotel in HK. It looks like Nathan Road, but could it be Macau?

Places shown in this photo:

This block stood on Homantin Hill Road above Homantin Street. The white sign-board at the fence-line denoted it as UK Ministry of Defence property. It is thought to have been the location of RAF Homantin just after the war. Rumour had it that it was the scene of many Japanese atrocities during the war and the building and grounds were haunted.

Unfortunately I did not note this building's name at the time, but it was demolished soon after to become the inevitable high-rise complex.

The floating restaurant can just be seen nestled in the corner lower right hand side. Most of this area of water has since been reclaimed and built on.
