It was Sunday, and it had been raining, and I was on the balcony.
I went back into the lounge, and heard the landslide, although I did not see it.

All the trees above May road in front of the Thorpe Manor site had slid down covering May Road.

(Research shows the date to be 2 September 1973)
The photo was probably taken many days later.
