Fragrance Express-KCR pig train

Anyone who has lived near the KCR will no doubt be familiar the overpowering smell of the regular pig trains passing by on their way to the unloading point at Homantin under the Princess Margaret Road viaduct to the tunnel. Especially if you happened to be on the platforms of the enclosed Mongkok station. Thankfully they no longer operate into the city.

A full side have view of the Midway in 1983. Unfortunately I do not seem to have taken a picture that would have replicated the 1975 image

If the person who took the 1975 image of the carrier had extended his camera's field of view slightly he would have seen the vessel's name on the stern, as in this Midway view

Nga Ying Chau [????- ]

At the foreground is NE of Tsing Yi Island.  In the middle, is CRC Oil Depot on Nga Ying Chau.   At the left background is Tsuen Wan Town and Fuk Loi Housing Estate is at the far end.  At the right is the Texaco Oil Depot. Rambler Channel is between the two oil depots.  This photo from public library was probably taken in 1980s.
