I think the photo shows the Pioneer Centre (2nd generation) in the 1980s.  As I do not know its start date, nor the demolition date, so I am unable to create a "place" for that building (which includes a shopping plaza).  Suggestions are welcome.

Empress Theatre was facing Nullah Road.  Royal Theatre was at j/o Nathan Road and Bute Street (ie it was on the northern side of Bute Street).  It had two entrances; one at Nathan Road and the other at Bute Street.   Perhaps someone will like to show them in an old map of Mongkok.

HSBC entrance at QRC 1983

The photo shows the HSBC entrance at QRC c1983.  There is a flight of steps on both sides leading to the bank hall above QRC road level.

Another hero in Kotewell Road disaster 1972

The late Mr Leung was also a hero in the Kotewall Road disaster in 1972.  He saved the life of Mr Henry Litton, and was awarded the George Medal.   However he passed away on duty during a fire fighting in a construction site of MTR in Sham Shui Po in 1980.
