I Tsz (meaning a free Ancestral Hall), was built in 1851 on Taipingshan Street to house ancestral tablets of deceased Chinese mainlanders, many of whom had moved to Hong Kong soon after colonisation by the British, to seek a better living.

Accessible by following the path and steps through Ma Hang Park, the Kwun Yum Temple, located on a hill, is dedicated to the Goddess of Mercy, to whom a large statute stands, sheltered by a pagoda next to the main temple.

OFFICIAL OPENING ON SATURDAY LAST

The newly erected Sikh Temple at Gap Road was officially opened by the Hon Mr E. D. C. Wolfe on Saturday afternoon in the presence of a large number of local Sikh residents.
