John Prettejohn Pte 2681 Wounded 19 Dec 1941 at Wong Nei Chong Gap.  Interned as POW at Shampshuipo, transported on Toyama Maru 1943 to Nagoya #2 Branch Camp (Narumi) working in locomotive factory.  Repatriated to HK after war.   DBS Senior Prefect 1934-35.  Reporter for SCMP to 1973.

A photo of SCMP Staff members taken on the rooftop of SCMP offices in 1949 (date inferred from its position in my photo album).  John Prettejohn standing on the very left.  Johnny Luke is 4th row, second from left.  Freddie Wong is on the right of the group of three standing at the rear in the middle of the picture. I only know Uncle Luke and Uncle Freddie in the picture as they were were my godfathers
