This is a sketch done by Christine Corra in 1942 in Stanley Internment Camp. Size was 10" x 14", and on the back was written "To Robert with all my love, Christine".

I would love to make contact with her, if possible. I believe Christine is lliving in England somewhere, and  if anybody has any information, please send this to me. Thanks.

Wedding photo of Mark Tsui Shing-cheung (BAAG No.56) and Agnes Lin Kit-man in 1946 at Roary Church Tsimshatsui. 

Agnes Lin passed away in Hong Kong in January 2015.  Mark Tsui passed away in Toronto in 1996.

Not often pictured are merchant ships inside Aberdeen's harbour. Seen in the background. This is claimed to be the 1940s and now the site of the Aberdeen Centre. Presumably they are to be using the drydock that was there.

Armed junk-Hong Kong-1948

Back in the early 1970s one of our hiking companions told tales of his activities gun running and moving strategic goods up to Canton at night on armed Junks just after the war. At the time I never really believed him as he didn't seem the type who would get involved in such things. More recently I came across a number of pictures dated circa 1948 in the Harrison Forman Collection often mentioned on this site, of Junks armed with vintage cannons, guns and armour plating around the decks moored in Hong Kong. Supposedly blockade runners.
