About 1949, an early morning sailing with most passengers crossing the harbour to get to work.No smog in those years, just a scented harbour!

HONG KONG, CHINA — U. S. Seventh Fleet Bluejackets in China visit Hong Kong on liberty. Hong Kong, one of the Orient's largest cities, has many famous places to visit. Among the most outstanding is the home of Aw Boon Haw, reputably China's richest man.

A boat load of U. S. sailors approaches the dock at Hong Kong. In the background Victoria Peak looms over the modern downtown section.
