The Tokyo Hotel was located at 37A, 37B and 38A Connaught Road Central. The building on the left is David House at 69 Des Voeux Road Central.

I think this is Queen's Road East between Kennedy and Stubbs Roads with an air raid shelter being constructed under Mount Parish. See here

The lower hill in the distance looks like Leighton Hill with the government quarters on top. Any other views are welcome.

Bowrington Canal Air Raid Pen-Shelters

The Bowrington Canal Air Raid Pen-Shelters were built of hollow concrete blocks, making them blast proof and splinter proof against any high explosive bomb exploding not nearer than 50 feet away.

The roofs were reinforced to provide protection against machine-gunning and had two supporting pillars in the centre of the shelter to prevent them from caving in
