The store Hariram's was located at 37 Queen's Road Central. Hariram's had a closing down sale in September 1941.

Typhoon: 16 September 1941

It is recorded in the HK Daily Press on 17 September 1941 that the football stands at the Naval Recreation Ground were partly damaged. At the height of the typhoon, the No. 9 Signal had been raised.

Pedder Street Rickshaw Rank next to Jardine House

The Pedder Street rickshaw rank was located next to parked cars in the middle of the street near the junction with Des Voeux Road Central. The columns and pillars of Jardine House can be seen here  and  here

The film "Down Went McGinty" was screened at the Queen's Theatre between 22-24 October 1940. The next Change was "Susan and God".
