This house stood in the district of Tsim Cha Tsui, Kowloon, on Chatham Road S., between Prat Ave. and Cameron Rd. View is north, with the Gun Club Barracks in the distance. Marie-Félicité, "Bigsis" and her Amah (Nanny) greet a passerby who looks a lot like Jules. More likely they're seeing him off to work.

On the east of Chatham Road was a reclaimed site with army camps from 30s to late 60s - the Chatham Camp, shown on the lower part of this picture in a derelict condition. Was it a part of the Gun Club Hill Barracks ?

This could be the corner of Chatham and Granville Road looking in easterly direction. This possible as our hotel was close by. Another support is the fact that the sign on the crane reads "T.S.Wong & Co.". This is the same as on my image of the Royal Garden Hotel (shot from Park Hotel at 61, Chatham Road).

Map of TST area, but of unknown date.  My guess is 1930s or 1940s.  It is the map on the back of  a Tailor shop's promotion leaflet.  Who be happy if someone can date this more accurately.
