Queen Vic Statue Recovered
found a wonderful resource of high-res photos of Hong Kong on the Life web site.
Here's the statue of Queen Victoria looking the worse for wear with arm broken off.

Pedestal
China Mail 26 January 1949
The stone pedestal which formerly housed Queen Victoria was removed in January 1949. The stone pedestal was not re-erected. The stones were used for other building projects!
