Took this photo 1962/3-ish.

Suspect the ship in the right background is the P&O/ S.S. Canton which ended it's days around that time being scrapped in Junk Bay.

The Electra L-188 had a poor safety record until modified in 1960.

But they still crashed .... as this one did on the 16th February 1967 with the loss of 22 lives.

I've again had the magnifier on the lettering of the small hut behind the plane - could it be Hong Kong Auxiliary Air Force ?

Fire Station.

Looked at another photo. It is a waterworks pumping station. The lettering says:
