Look at the cricket pitch all laid out as tennis courts. Was there a tennis season and a cricket season, or was it tennis in the week and cricket at the weekends?

I still can't believe the Hong Kong club board members voted to knock down that building (front centre).  That has to be the dumbest decision in all of Hong Kong's demolition over the years (among many very dumb decisions).

As seen here on the history of the Hong Kong Cricket Club, the aims of the Club in it infancy was to "promote the game of cricket, tennis, croquet and other atheletic sports and past times".

Cricket is played from September to April. And tennis in the summer months.

From memory - those tennis courts were only laid out once the cricket season was over, so probably from April - when the weather changed and it started to become too hot for cricket! I played there many times with my parents and brother.
